We are School Games PLATINUM at Isaac!
We are delighted to announce that Isaac Newton Primary School has achieved the School Games PLATINUM Mark Award for the 2025/26 academic year.
The School Games Mark is a Government-led award scheme launched in 2012, facilitated by the Youth Sport Trust to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community, and we are delighted to have been recognised for our success.
Our sporting achievements this year include:

- Hockey Tournament Winners and Runners Up
- Swimming Gala Relay Runners Up
- Town Sports Athletics Winners
- Grantham Town FC Gingerbread Trophy Winners
With over 100 KS2 children competing in local inter-school competitions this year, we are extremely proud of our pupils for their dedication to all aspects of school sport, including those young volunteers, leaders and officials who made our competitions possible.
As part of our application, we were asked to fulfil criteria in the areas of participation, competition, workforce and clubs, and we are pleased that the hard work of everyone at our school has been rewarded this year.

Our school Games Organisers, Chris Graves and Sharon Bray, who have worked tirelessly this academic year to provide as many opportunities as possible for our children. Mrs Atter, Laura Jones and Mr Doughty, who go above and beyond everyday to ensure our children get the highest quality PE lessons. They provide extra curricular opportunities, ensuring our children are well prepared and supported for all events. To our school senior leaders, who support our vision for PE at Isaac Newton and value the importance the School Games Programme brings.
But the biggest thank you of all, has to go to our children. Their dedication to PE and competitions is outstanding. They’ve worked extremely hard this year and have seen phenomenal results. We hope they’ve enjoyed the last year and have taken away some wonderful memories!!
